to care fully and effectively for our patients and to give every comfort and assurance to those who love them.
We will earn your unqualified trust.
The cardiologists and surgeons of the Kansas Heart Hospital are all board certified by their respective subspecialty boards.
Together they have accumulated more than 350 years of professional experience. That experience stretches to cases whose
complexity is defining what is possible in health care in America.
Our cardiologists and cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons have performed over 100,000 procedures, including tens of
thousands of open-heart, thoracic and vascular surgeries as well as heart catheterizations, defibrillator and pacemaker
implantations, interventional stent deployments and angioplasties.
The numbers indicate range of experience. They do not indicate its depth. In every one of those tens of thousands of cases,
a human being in need found competent, compassionate care.
Every person you meet at Kansas Heart Hospital is a medical professional specialized in cardiovascular and thoracic disease.
A nurse. A medical technician. A therapist. From the greeting at admission to the discharge interview, everyone who will serve
you has medical background and expertise. To us you are a patient, not a number.
Our nursing staff is composed of all registered nurses (RN). They are skilled specialists, with broad experience in the care
of cardiovascular patients. In the intensive care unit at Kansas Heart Hospital, the patient to nurse ratio is 2:1 or
better at all times; in other areas of the hospital, the ratio is 4:1. These ratios are twice as good as the current "accepted standard."
