Job Title: Information Systems Administrator Department: Information Systems Job Function: Oversee all computer systems within hospital Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor in Management Information System preferred, or 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in lieu of a degree.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Anticipate and provide hardware and software needs.
Research and review possible hardware and software needs of the end-user.
Purchase needed software and hardware, including licensing.
Install needed software and hardware.
Maintain software and hardware.
Perform software updates.
Provide information and services for users.
Provide vendor manuals and documentation to end-users required for operation of hospital systems.
Be a knowledge source for end-users applications.
Provide formal and informal training to all end-users.
Be on call for after hour’s problems.
Provide backup procedures and hardware.
Setup and maintain system security.
Create new user accounts, according to I.S. Policies and Procedures.
Police system for unauthorized users.
Police system for unauthorized software.
Maintains and deletes inactive/terminated user accounts.
Secure and maintain vendor provided software manuals.
Write and maintain all software documentation not provided by vendors.
Write and maintain all I.S. Policies and Procedures.
Asset Management.
Maintain server systems, peripherals and network.
Perform required updates to systems and peripherals
Perform preventative maintenance of systems and peripherals.
Provide technical support for all systems.
Trouble shoots all server, network, workstation and peripheral errors.
Provide all software and hardware support for Lucent phone switch.
Setup and monitor all aspects of the Voice mail systems.
Trouble shoots all phone system problems.
Provide reporting as required by CEO and CFO.
Other duties as assigned.
