The 2008 Greater Wichita Start! Heart Walk on Saturday, June 14th is our "mission in action." Through the Start! Heart Walk, we can create opportunities for people to improve their health by walking and simultaneously raise funds to help fight heart disease and stroke.
Take heart! These 5K to 10K walks are a great way for families, friends, civic groups and businesses to have a good time, learn about the importance of exercise and support the American Heart Association's fight against heart disease and stroke. Companies or groups organize team participants who, in turn, get sponsors, with proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association. Look for Kansas Heart Hospital to be there.
